Adding salt when the water is boiling allows the solvent to dissolve more quickly and thus avoid settling on the bottom of the pot, creating those annoying stains.

If the damage is already done and your pans already have the typical stains caused by salt or limescale residue, don't panic! To remove them, you can use a specific cream cleaner for steel. A little elbow grease and your pans will be as good as new.
- DRY THE STEEL AFTER WASHING
