1903

When it all began

Although the "official" date is 1903, the history of Barazzoni dates back to 1897 when Giovanni Battista Barazzoni started a small workshop producing household items made of tin, brass and copper. A few years later, the company produced 139 different items.

The World Wars

During the years of the wars the company was put to the test, both because of the scarcity of raw materials and because employees were called up to arms, leading many women to take their place in the company. Barazzoni, despite everything, always stood out for its resilience: as well as developing a line of products for military use, it made a contribution, especially during the Second World War, in the social sphere. Giovanni Battista "Neni", then head of the company, used his personal assets to guarantee wages and raw materials, keeping his workforce employed and fulfilling his commitment to the nation.

The roots of Design

In 1969 Barazzoni was the first company to introduce design into the production of cookware and kitchenware with the launch of the Tummy line designed by Ennio Lucini, winning numerous awards, including the prestigious ADI Compasso d'Oro in 1979.

The impact bonding revolution

In the early 90s Barazzoni was one of the first companies to introduce the Impact Bonding system, an innovative method that involves the indissoluble union of the 3 discs (steel-aluminium-steel) that make up the bottom of the pot.

To the first hundred years

In 2003 - the year of the company's centenary - Barazzoni presented the My Lady line, designed by the architect Claudio Bellini, which interprets the continuity of the company's mission to build high quality, beautiful and highly functional cookware. The My Lady collection has been awarded numerous prestigious international design prizes (Good Design, Red Dot).

Not only cooking...

In addition to the production of cooking tools, over the years Barazzoni has expanded its range of products, introducing articles dedicated to food preparation, the table and the home.

The company is present in more than 80 countries worldwide.

The family business is now in its fourth generation of entrepreneurs. Production still takes place in its historical headquarters in Invorio and it is proud to be among the brands that know how to keep up the name of Made in Italy around the world.
