Blog

120 years of history..

..and counting

We have always recounted and transmitted with passion the values that identify us: made in Italy, quality, design, innovation, attention to the consumer and care for the environment. Today, however, we want to talk about a value that encapsulates our essence, today we tell our story.

We would like to be able to recount every detail, every effort, but a blog article cannot contain all this. However, we can dive together into a time long gone and join those dots that today define our plot, and to do so we will make use of the fil rouge that links our history to the rest of the world: the lines that made the revolution.

Triplen.JPG

Triplen, 1960

A rich Italy, an economic boom that created fertile ground for new ideas. Not everyone may be familiar with the Triplen line, yet it was the first line to introduce the 3-layer (steel-copper-steel) bottom, our springboard.

Pressure cooker, 1960

We are at a time when women are still masters of the kitchen and the cooker, but it is also a time when they are emancipating themselves and starting to work, and the time to devote to the home begins to dwindle. People are also starting to talk about healthy diets and top-quality raw materials.

Less time + healthy products. This is the perfect formula that results in the pressure cooker.

TUMMY_BAGUTTA.jpg

Tummy, 1969

An iconic line, perhaps the most famous, 'the one with the rounded shape', this is how it is remembered. It was born in a revolutionary era, just like her. Tummy is the line of sweet memories, of affection, almost reassuring, just like mothers.

Luci e ombre, 1989

The adjective to describe this line is 'rampant', just like the young people of those years. Wanting to stand out and prove that they were there, to leave a mark; and the Luci e Ombre, which exploits the strong contrast between gloss and black, left a mark.

My Lady, 2003

Daughter of the short years, that is how the 2000s are defined, characterised by a rapid succession of technological innovations. The My Lady line is bold, linear but not predictable, elegant and with a strong character. You can feel the change through its lines.

Facile, 2003

We cannot omit to mention Barazzoni's first non-stick line. The company's first non-stick line started off in fifth gear because, not only was this new coating introduced, but also the practicality of a detachable handle that makes it versatile and 'alternative'.

My Pot SET 1.jpg

My Pot, 2007

Innovation in these years does not stop and neither have we. My Pot was created to accommodate every possible facility for those who like to spend time at the cooker. It is the line that makes it possible to 'park the lid', our smart line.

My Pot utensils, 2011

A new decade begins, but with a glance back to the past with the introduction of the first complete set of My Pot utensils, harking back to the iconic smart line.

Barazzoni_Granitica_gruppo.jpg

Granitica, 2013

A timeless, long-lived non-stick line, updated over the years to the present day. A symbol of an idea that adapts to its context.

Chef line, 2013

The years of minimalism are not over (and perhaps will never end), design and architecture still seek those essential forms by reducing spaces and objects, even everyday objects such as a simple saucepan, to their minimum. The Chef Line was born from this desire for 'simplicity'.

Anima Verde, 2016

For some years now, ecology has been a topic gaining in importance. Barazzoni launches a non-stick product whose water-based coating is light for the environment and safe for people. But that's not all: Anima Verde is a line that confirms the company's fundamental values: use of top quality raw materials, 100% Made in Italy.

Our sustainable commitment is still being pursued, always searching for new innovative production methods.

Facile Dual System, 2017

In a bayonet world, we introduce the jaw. The world of pressure cookers has also been the subject of in-depth study throughout our history. Time is the key to understanding this cooking tool, and in this case it is seconds that make the difference. In order to simplify opening and closing, this new method was introduced, which allows less effort and makes the pressure cooker a completely 'self-contained' instrument.

33 Carati, 2018

The pot/diamonds association? It is possible. And beyond the quest for aesthetic beauty, there is the need to create a state-of-the-art coating using 33-carat diamond powder. The art of studying new materials, in this case, is essential.

Black Titan Pro dettaglio 2.jpg

Black Titan Pro, 2020

We all know the nature of these years, the historical moment we found ourselves in out of the blue. In every difficult situation, everyone looks for their own reference points and starts from there. For us, it was immediate to understand what our 'new point' was, which once designed took the name of Black Titan Pro. Created and designed to resist, to transmit strength and resilience.

Olly, 2020

The pandemic has inevitably constituted the rethinking of the household economy of each individual citizen, leading them to meticulously select their purchases.

The word 'design' is usually associated with the concept of 'expensive'; what if this were not really the case? What if you could access a sought-after product at an affordable price? Olly is all this, the epitome of 'beautiful is not always expensive'.

It has been 120 years since Giovanni Battista Barazzoni started a small workshop for household items made of tin, brass and copper. Since then our company has grown through the ideas of people who perceived the potential of this project and together, generation after generation, we have built a great work.

Today we are proud to share not only the great milestone of 120 years, but also the recognition of 'Marchio Impresa Storica'.

This is a milestone, but it is not the point of arrival. Our journey continues and today, like every day for the past 120 years, is only the beginning.
